Now I have solved the problem with textures for the Oddity model not appearing:
(Forgive the ugly texture, I haven't yet bothered repainting it after the UVs got changed. It works, that's all I was concerned with at this point.)

Here is the regular mesh (smooth shaded):
Here is the same exact mesh with the same exact number of polygons displayed using normal mapping created from a much higher polygon model:
Take note of the area around the eyes, for example. The normal mapping isn't 100% perfect yet, or else HL displays it oddly, but I was happy to get that much working.
