-= About the Terran Trade Authority setting =-

Following Mankind's first hesitant steps into space in the twentieth and twenty first century, first contact was made with the inhabitants of the nearest star systems, Alpha Centauri and Proxima Centauri. The former resulted in a fast friendship and clearly mutually beneficial alliance. The latter resulted in a tragic and costly war that raged for two decades, but also caused space technology to leap ahead at a furious pace, and catalyzed the founding of what would eventually become the Galactic Federation.

"Here then, is the story of humanity's journey to the stars and the means by which it was made."

-= About the Terran Trade Authority series =-

Originally a series of four art books written by Stewart Cowley in the late seventies/early eighties, the setting has recently been licensed by Morrigan Press, who is releasing a new set of art books as well as a roleplaying game based on the original material (all moved 100 years in the future from the original series due to the real world "catching up" in the meantime.

This archive contains data files for star systems for the Terran Trade Authority setting for the Celestia astronomical simulator.

-= Installing it =-

Unzip the file into your Celestia/extras folder (keeping the paths) and then restart Celestia.

This should create a folder called TTA containing this file, several subfolders, one or more ssc/stc data files, and some textures. The SSC files, STC files and this readme should end up in Celestia/Extras/TTA/, and the textures should end up in Celestia/Extras/TTA/textures/lores/ Medium-res textures will be available in a separate download (due to their size).

-= Using it =-

Open the Navigation/Select Object menu item and type in the name of the star system, such as "Alpha Centauri A", "Alpha Centauri B", or "Proxima". Use the Go To button, or close the browser and hit G.

Once in the system, you can open Navigation/Solar System Browser to find the planets (or just look around manually).

-= Legalities =-

TTA concept and material originally published as Spacecraft: 2000 to 2100 AD, Copyright 1990 Stewart Cowley, and licensed to Morrigan Press Inc. Used with permission.
