The Terran Federation, or TerraFed, is the name for the world government of Terra. It was formed when the Terran Treaty of Union was signed, replacing the UN. (Lately, the term seems to see growing use as a name for the alliance between the Alphans, Proximans, and Terrans, though this is a misnomer.)

The Terran Federation is led by the World Council, located in Berlin, Germany.

The TDA is the unified military force of the Terran Federation. It was deeply involved in the Proximan War.

[edit] The Terran Trade Authority (TTA)

Main article: Terran Trade Authority (organization)

The TTA is the body most responsible for the regulation of space and access to it. It was formed to present a unified face for interstellar trade, in response to the Alphan refusal to trade with a myriad of individual companies and entities. It is a controversial organization.
