The Antagonists

• Tears of the Bloodflower - The Deathlord who has laid claim to Seven Willows. A Phantasm of the Primordial, Umbra. (Pic)
• The Night-Forged Moiety of the Sanguineous Lament - The Abyssal Circle that captured Seven-Willows. More commonly known simply as The Night-Forged.
• Baleful Harvest of Silk-Tongued Daggers (Naraka Sarad) - The tall, thin, Anathema of the Midnight Caste. Dark hair and refined features. He fights with a powerbow, as well as the dailkaive known as "Forgiving Rector to Recalcitrant Apostates". His anima takes the form of a two-headed cobra. (Pic)
• Angry Dragon Star (Li Long Sying) - An Anathema of the Daybreak Caste, who was apparently in charge of the undead that were attacking Metaia. He has a habit of venting his frustration on any inanimate (or formerly-animate) objects nearby ... tables, zombies, etc. Has green hair and a foreign look. Occasionally lapses into what is probably his native language. (Pic)
• Black Bone Dancer (Kala Natesa) - Anathema of the Dusk Caste. An attractive young woman, if you like the thin, pale type. She has blue-black hair and blue eyes. She wields a black sword. Very stoic and unemotional. Plays a set of pan-pipes carved of bone. (Pic)
• Irrefragable Crimson Nunatak (Eikki Mustanen) - An enormous Moonshadow Caste male with the appearance of a northerner, who carries a Goremaul, "Fist of Weeping Granite". (Pic)
• The Recondite Emmisary of Blod and Obsidian (Samein Fajer Dammar) - The oldest of the various children picked up during the flight from Seven Willows. A southern boy about 12 years old whose parents (according to his story) had been working in Vala preparing to make their way back south before the winter when the attack on Seven Willows came. Actually a member of the Day Caste who uses his seeming innocence to aid in his infiltrations.
