Exalted: Amenti conversion
This page is eventually intended to hold material concerning my conversion of Mummy: The Resurrection to the Exalted setting. Currently, what you will find below are the "Caste Marks" that I have cooked up for the Amenti in the Age of Sorrows.
- Kher-minu:

- Khri-habi:

- Mesektet:

- Sakhmu:

- Sefekhi:

The marks are intentionally similar, varying in only two glyphs apiece. They are actually cartouche-like ritual symbols permanently inscribed upon the mummy's body and soul as part of the Spell of Life, rather than divine sigils, but they function in much the same way that Exalted Caste Marks do, becoming visible and glowing when peripheral Essence is spent.
Much of the mark symbolizes Khem's (and the Amenti's) essential duality. The Eagle wings represent the living world, while the vulture heads represent the lands of the dead (this can be read the other way around, with vultures symbolizing the nature of life and wings symbolizing the freed spirit). The usual Solar Disk at the center of the wings is joined with the mark of Duat. The feather of Ma'at and the hieroglyphs for the exaltation of the dead and the sah (mummy) complete the basic cartouche. The Duat star is overlaid by a mark particular to each Caste, and a second one joins the feather of Ma'at.
