Friday night was session 3 of Obsidian Requiem, which marked the achievement of a sort of unofficial milestone for me.

I managed to freak out the PCs just by having their antagonists (two Deathknights of the group that invaded the PCs homeland) in the same inn...

... completely ignoring them, flirting with barmaids, drinking and chatting.

It was pretty cool.

It was also amusing to be playing the "Ominous choral music" (Blaze, from the Escaflowne soundtrack) -- which had previously been used for things like portentuous eclipses and horrendous imminent thunderstorms -- in a pub setting. The Pub of Doom!
